Green on the GO
An eco-friendly to-go program making use of reusable plastic to-go containers and 100% recycled stainless steel flatware.

Recycling
We recycle our cardboard, office paper, metal cans, glass, and plastic.

Trayless Dining
Trayless dining is a practice that significantly reduces food waste as well as water and chemical use to clean dishes. Studies indicate when practicing trayless dining, there is a savings of thousands of gallons of water each semester and a reduction up to a 25-30% in food waste.

Napkins
Pioneer uses XPressnap dispensers. The napkins are made from 100% recycled paper. The dispensers use 30% less paper than traditional napkin dispensers.

Fair Trade / Direct Trade Coffee
We are proud to serve fair trade / direct trade coffee in our dining halls and coffee shops.

Scratch Kitchen
We are proud to produce as much of the food we serve from scratch as possible. Not only does it taste better, it is better for you, and reduces packaging disposal.

Local and Regional Products
To support our sustainability and wellness commitments, we cultivate relationships with our suppliers to purchase local and regional products and seasonally available produce.
